What is Nusantara Islamic University?
Universitas Islam Nusantara or commonly abbreviated as UNINUS is the oldest and most historic private campus located in West Java or precisely on Jl. Soekarno – Hatta No. 530, Bandung City. Initially, this campus was named Universitas Nahdlatul Ulama (UNNU) and was born on November 30, 1959. Then on April 15, 1969 UNNU officially changed its name to Universitas Islam Nusantara (UNINUS) which is known until now.
A Brief History of UNINUS
As previously mentioned, UNINUS was originally n database shop amed UNNU and was born from the realization of the ideals of the scholars who gathered in the Extended Family of scholars of Ahlusunnah wal Jamaah An-Nahdliyah and Muslims in general as proof of devotion in an effort to realize the ideals of the Proclamation of Independence of the Republic of Indonesia based on Pancasila and the 1945 Constitution, towards the realization of a just and prosperous society under the auspices of the forgiveness and pleasure of Allah Subhanahuwata’ala.
When it was first established, this campus was under
he guidance of the Nahdlatul Ulama University Supervisory Foundation which was supervised by KH Idham Khalid (deceased), KH Subhan ZE (deceased), KH Achsien (deceased), KH Habib Utsman (deceased), and others. The daily leader was KHEZ Muttaqien (deceased) who was given power of attorney to Prof. Dr. Achmad Sanusi, SH, MPA.Along with its development, UNINUS has experienced marketing automatisearring demystifisearre several changes of rectors, including HM inspired by the values of Islam Ahlussunnah wal Jama’ah An-Nahdliyah, independent, have noble morals, and have national insight and a sense of love for the homeland
In realizing the noble goal of human development inspired by the values of Islam Ahlussunnah wal Jamaah An-Nahdliyah and a just, physically and bbb org prosperous society blessed by Allah SWT, UNINUS prepares students to become Muslim scholars and national leaders who are pious, have noble morals, and have excellence in Islam, knowledge, leadership, and independence.
UNINUS Faculties and Study Programs
1. Faculty of Economics
In addition to management, FE-UNINUS also has an Accounting study program. This study program organizes learning with the aim of producing graduates in the field of accounting who have expertise and skills in the process of preparing financial reports specifically in the fields of; management accounting, auditing, sharia accounting and taxation.
2. Faculty of Teacher Training and Education
The Faculty of Teacher Training and Education (FKIP) is also one of the first faculties at UNINUS. FKIP UNINUS has been experienced in organizing undergraduate programs for 34 years, since 1982. One of the missions of this faculty is to organize independent and superior education, research and community service in accordance with Islamic values and the demands of the surrounding environment;

3. Faculty of Islamic Studies
There are 4 programs at FAI-UNINUS, among them:
- Islamic education
- Islamic Banking
- Elementary Madrasah Teacher Education (PGMI)
- Islamic Communication and Broadcasting
4. Faculty of Law
The eight parts are the Basics of Legal Science, Civil Law, Criminal Law, Constitutional Law, State Administrative Law, International Law, Law and Society, and Procedural Law.
5. Faculty of Communication Sciences
In its development, currently there are two study programs at FIKOM UNINUS, namely Communication Science and Library Science.
6. Faculty of AgricultureThe vision of this faculty is to become an Islamic Faculty of Agriculture that upholds Ahlussunnah wal Jama’ah An-Nahdliyah and a leading Faculty of Agriculture at the national and international levels in 2035.
